This statement in my opinion means that when you do something wrong there is no good coming out of it. But when you do something right you are respecting others respecting your-self and being loyal to one another. An example, of when you do something wrong and gain nothing back is because since you are doing something bad there is nothing good because what you are doing is wrong and sinful.
