Summary/ Reflection Gold Medalist Alex Schwazer

Summary:  Alex Schwazer an Olympic gold medalist is banned because of the use of drugs. He was using enhanced drugs to win the races. It was just only one day after winning the gold medal that he got kicked out of the London Games. This was a disappointment for everyone. Later, he gave a press conference but was just full of tears and very emotional. He spoke to the press that he was happy he was caught using drugs because he wants to stop and just start a new life and that he wasn’t made for using drugs.

Reflection: I think that it was good that he got caught but also because he doesn’t want to use drugs anymore so he is actually glad about it. You should always be honest since day 1 because if you’re not then you are just lost and you’re going to want to choose the wrong path all the time. Honesty is very important because that makes you who you are. Drugs is the worst thing you can do because you are just going to feel lost you lose family and friends when you get into those type of things so you should always just come clean about everything and not choose to do wrong because you are just hurting yourself.

I agree with this statement because when you are doing something correct and you know deep down in your heart it is the right thing there shouldn’t be no fear. Fear comes to people when they are doing wrong because they know that it is bad what they are doing and even though you may be doing something bad you are always going to have fear about it because deep down you know that it is wrong and that you are eventually not going to get away with it. So when you decide to choose the right it doesn’t bring fear instead it brings happiness to yourself because you’re are doing the right thing. Never have fear when doing the right thing!

I strongly agree with this statement because when people lead us to do bad things we are always going to want to follow what they do even if you know they are doing something wrong. So that is why we need to have the courage to stand up for ourselves and learn to say no. It is just simple as that saying no isn’t hard at all it is keeping you from doing something you don’t want to do.  If you end up doing something you don’t want to do don’t let others bring you down with them. You should always live your life with honesty and of course courage to say no to the bad things because that will lead you away from many bad obstacles you’ll face in life. An example if someone is offering you marijuana but you don’t want to do it but they are pressuring you to do it, it is ok to say no and just walk away I guarantee that will be the best decision you’ll ever make because you will also feel good knowing that you chose the right.
